2024 International Citizen of the Year

Last Friday, we gathered for the third session of the James T. Morris Global Leadership Series, diving into the theme of Global Good! We explored vital topics like shared value, corporate social responsibility, and philanthropy, along with a powerful discussion on each cohort member's Personal Why. These conversations inspire us to think globally and act locally, emphasizing the profound impact each of us can have on the world.
A huge thank you to our incredible speakers: Tisha Galarce, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, Human Resources Director at The Indianapolis Public Library, and Jyl Kuczynski Strong, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Building Tomorrow. Tisha and Jyl shared insights on leading with purpose and leveraging local resources for global impact.

Celebrating the 2024 Global Impression Award Winner
Congratulations to Dr. Svitlana Ramer, the 2024 Global Impression Award winner! Dr. Ramer’s work with DAI Global and the Ukrainian Society of Indiana reflects her dedication to Indiana's international community. She has been instrumental in connecting and supporting Ukrainian and other immigrant communities, fostering cultural exchange, and advocating for humanitarian efforts. Dr. Ramer’s work has made a lasting impact, bringing resources, cultural awareness, and international collaboration to Indiana. Her recognition highlights her profound contributions to cultural enrichment and her commitment to promoting a global perspective.
Our staff was thrilled to join the vibrant Diwali celebration at the Indiana Statehouse, organized by the Asian American Alliance! During the event, The International Center was honored to receive a 25th Anniversary Partnership Award, recognizing our ongoing collaboration and commitment to Indiana’s diverse communities. Diwali celebrates light, knowledge, and community, and we’re grateful to have been part of such a meaningful gathering. The International Center and Indiana-Germany Business Council were delighted to support the Indianapolis Colts with their business delegation to Germany earlier this month. The 12-day, five-city trip included meetings with sporting clubs, local governments, and business organizations to learn more about the opportunities to grow American Football throughout Germany.
